Certification was hampered

I try to write my journey while getting certification on DAX 2009. I never know if my plan to be certificated at DAX 2009 will be Hampered.. As now happened to me. In the June of 2010, after my reimplementation was done and after I do so much customizes and procedure changes.... I try to enroll for DAX certification at prometric with exam number of certification is MB6817. I have so little time to prepare and so many jobs incoming to my desk. Yes.. I get the date of examination on 9/Aug/2010 at 'belogix IT Training' and then I do registration and payment for that.

Meanwhile On my preparation for examination I just read whitepaper that I downloaded from internet and browsing with 'uncle' google to find the literature of DAX 2009. How about application of DAX 2009? I have installed 4 times in 2008 with VMWARE Technology but I don't use since I joined current company, I don't have any time to operate DAX 2009 even just to open the application. Back to story. I read the literature and I try out at my VMware Server...

After 3 weeks I'm getting preparation I still feel not confidence to face the examination, my mind say 'I need more time and more concentration to the examination'... but the time of examination was in front of me... even I can reschedule I don't want to do that, because in the next week new internal project is waiting for me....I try to get open my mind and thinking something positive reason...'I need to do this now, I need the experience on DAX 2009 examination ...if I'm failed in this attempt, I'm looking for the next attempt until i pass this examination and other examination'....'.

During examination I think all my answers is correct because I'm sure I understand the questions also the answers, but the result tell me 'NOT'... just like my feeling that I'm not confidence to pass this examination, but it is never mind... I will try with other chances. Until now I never ever have a time to prepare again.... so where is my chance to certificate....? When I have time to concentrate? When all detention away from my face? Let the time to answer all...???!

STOCK SUMMARY REPORT

After moving from one company to another in Indonesia which is using axapta, I have 1 report that always required by user, that Repot is 'Stock Summary' which is summarized by period, product, inventory dimension in row base and Opening Qty, In Qty, Out Qty, Closing Qty in column base. I' don't know why microsoft doesn't provide this report, even it is only country-specific features. The version of this report is many but these report have only one pattern as described before. Some consultant suggesting to use physical inventory reports group or inventory value report group, but those reports doesn't fit the user requirements.
The idea of creating this report is read all Qty in inventtrans table with period by physical date and relate to inventdim table. By this Idea you can find out the qty that was transacted at axapta, except if you need to create Stock summary base on financial transaction it's mean only transaction have final financial amount in inventtrans table. Just look at customer balance list report it's similar report although different in displaying/providing data. Just take a look at picture below hope this can help anybody that required report like this especially for Indonesia user





Beside the report above some user need supporting report to describe the real transaction. The following report is Stock Summary detail that used to explain behavior of transaction on the IN or OUT at Stock Summary. The Idea is same with Stock summary report, the additional information come from 'transrefid' in inventtras table. Some consultant suggesting to use inventory transaction report to handle detail information but this is not quite informative because difficult to read and not easy to summarize.

Create Report with Column and Row Grid lines

Hi, This is a little bit about creating report with column and row grid line. So many users and company that use a report with column and row grid, I in the
first time when I obligated to create a document that use grid line it was challenged me, i try to find out the similar report at standard axapta reports and
I found nothing... and I ask to uncle 'google' I found many links that not fit my objective (it was year 2005 and I used to MBS Axapta 3.0). I just have idea
From my experience that used to VB 6.0 and VBA at Ms. Access which is use 'Manipulation' of control tools.. Something like labels, text box, rectangle, line,
Shape or other control. The idea is 'Manipulation', so i try out to use axapta standard control to create column and row grid line...and it was done with
excellent result. This trick is more have a long time to create because we need to describe line of column and row by define position of control. Please pay
attention to the example below:

we need to create report/document (invoice) as picture above, and we just use manipulation of control by set the properties and some coding to insert. The
properties that always to use are : Line Below, Line Above, Line Left, Line Right, Left, Top, Width, Height, Top Margin, Bottom Margin, Left Margin, Right
Margin, Model Field Name, show label, Alignment, background Color, Foreground Color, Font, Thickness.

Reborn from Hibernate

Today I try to wake up from my hibernate with daily routine and current company problem. It was long journey event though it just 2 years, I feel I like to find another challenges or try to write something about DAX or try to improve my knowledge about DAX or something that not make me bored or stupid…! After so many problem was solved but it not enough, after so many plan neglected, after so many user reluctant to changes, after I don’t have any supporting to gave my best, after I don’t have any improvement at knowledge, after..after..after (I can not mentions all here).

I try out to certificate my DAX last year with minimum preparation, doing busy with daily problem, strict time to find solution for our going project and so many other problem, and what I can say.. that my DAX examination was failed, I feel so frustrate...I think I’m not lucky and I don’t have good enough preparation, so I try to prepare with my uncle ‘Google’ and ‘whitepaper’, but the situation not helping me.. I can’t to concentrate my mind and focus at my examination…until now I just became a helpdesk for user and problem solver for trouble user.

I feel good by write my blog and I try to put all my opinion, thinking, knowledge about DAX from now on, I need to reborn as DAX guy and follow another DAX guys way…

Nambah VPN/IP VS VPN Instant

Sudah 2 minggu main email2an sama pak BCA (orang telkom), untuk finalisasi perpanjangan kontrak jaringan. Awalnya 4 bulan lalu sudah buat analisa perbandingan antara VPN/IP dengan penawaran fitur layanan baru telkom yang bernama "VPN Instan"... telkom memang lagi senang dengan yg instan2, dulu ada namanya telkomnet instan, sekarang ada namanya VPN Instan... mungkin nanti akan ada SLJJ instan..???
Analisa harga tentu jauh berbeda antara keduanya, VPN instan secara harga masih jauh dibawah VPN/IP karena yg dibayar hanya port VPN instan saja sedangkan VPN/IP setiap site mempunyai harga tersendiri. Dari segi fitur tentu VPN/IP lebih unggul dari segi fasilitas layanan maupun avaibilitas koneksi karena merupakan jaringan private yg secure dengan menggunakan teknologi MPLS. Sedangkan VPN instan melalui internet yg merupakan jaringan public sehingga keamanannya sangat tergantung dari pihak pengguna jaringan, walaupun nantinya akan ada server yg akan menjadi firewall sebelum masuk ke jaringan local.
Jika dilihat dari fitur fleksibilitas maka tentu akan lebih baik VPN Instan karena tidak tergantung lokasi bisa dimana saja selama jaringan internet tersedia. Dari 4 halaman analisa perbandingan antara VPN/IP dengan VPN Instan yang dibuat yg paling sesuai dengan nobel adalah VPN Instan, terutama dari sisi harga (maklum.... perusahaan india ngiriiiiiitt.....) dan fleksible karena akan di pakai untuk perusahaan retail dalam group perusahaan.
Saat ini sudah mendekati minggu2 penting untuk pengambilan Decision between VPN/IP VS VPN Instan, selama periode ini tanya sana-sini mengenai teknologi VPN Instan karena kita belum menggunakan layanan ini.... tanya engineer telkom Mr. C?u?u?i, bang google, mailist dll. akhirnya terkuak sedikit tools yg digunakan oleh layanan ini yaitu butuh server RADIUS.
Nah... berkenalan dech... sama si Radius ini.. ternyata layanan ini ada pada semua sistem operasi artinya layanan yg umum... Pertama pingin tahu apa sich... radius ? Remote Authentication Dial In User Service. Lalu gunanya untuk apa...? secara umum merupakan protocol networking untuk remote user authentication and accounting. nah.... jadi masalah keamanan sangat tergantung di server Radius ini. Saat ini sedang menunggu hasil finalisasi analisa pihak manajemen.... emang IT bukan bagian manajemen ????? saat ini bagian untuk bikin bahan analisa saja kata atasanku.... 10 X 10 Dech..

Become MCBMSP or CCIE...!?

In a few weeks this month I was interested to learn Cisco Device, I don't know but may be I was feel bored with Mr. Axapta, Mr. DAX, Uncle X++, Uncle Morph X.
Dare to try Cisco router and switch catalyst although just use command "Sh run-conf.." and then looking for some command at Bosson NetSim and GNS3 after that try out all command in real Cisco Device. STP (spanning tree protocol) at my network running well and Vlan200 administratively up and now I can use Cisco Network Assistance to make easy to configure all cisco device at my network... let me show you how dare I am trying to learn Cisco...

Mengawali tahun 2010

Sudah lebih 7 bulan bekerja kembali di nobel.....

Setelah sebelumnya 4 tahun yg lalu mengundurkan diri dari Nobel....

Banya pengalaman yg harus di tumpahkan ke blog ini "even it is not necessary for anybody", tetapi akur harus menuliskan pengalaman manis dan pahit itu untuk manatap masadepanku danmenjadi garis catatan perubahan hidupku.

anganku melayang ke masa ketika miningglkan Nobel dengan senjata Axapta yg notabene akupun masih baru mengenalnya, tetapi keberanianku mengalahkan kemiskinanku akan pengetahuanku tentang mahluk bernama Axapta.

Inilah realita hidup yg harus kujalani "Show must Go on", seiring kepindahanku ke KIA yg berada di jakarta berarti homebaseku pindah ke kota SiDoel. banyak alasan untuk pindah, selain keberanianku untuk menjual pengetahuanku yg terbatas semuanya bermuara pada DOKU alias Money.

Setelah berguru, bertapa, bermeditasi di lembah KIA kurang dari 1 tahun ilmuku bertambah pesat sehingga keyakinanku aku bisa melawan Bramakumbara atau Raden Bentar jika dibutuhkan oleh Mantili untuk bertarung dalam kawah Axapta Candradimuka.... tentu saja mantili harus ngeluarin DOKU yg lebih besar. Dan hal itu terjadi ketika seorang bernama ib#u s#ti#o#ud# melamarku dng gaji yg lebih besar dan angan2 kebohongan yg SUPER HYPERBOLA.

Tidak lebih dari 1 tahun aku kembali ke kampung halamanku dengan gaji 350 persen lebih besar dari gajiku di Nobel sebelum keluar. Tetapi ketika aku pindah tidak tahu jika aku akan masuk kandang Macan, aku hanya punya minim informasi intelejen dari temanku yg bernama S#kri yg seharusnya menempati posisiku dalam kandang macan tsb. Sebagai konsultan tentu lebih banyak tantangan dan rintangan, aku berusaha untuk menyamakan diriku dengan konsultan professional pada umumnya walaupun No Training, No Classroom, No Teacher, No Book. Usahaku hanya mencari PDF, DOC dan buku gratisan dengan bantuan bang Google dan kang Yahoo.

Setelah 1 tahun lebih aku berhasil menambah ilmu yg banyak dng keadaan tertatih-tatih, bantingtulang untuk bisa melalui semua rintangan. Mulai perjalanan ke kantor -/+ 30 km kalau PP 60 km (pake motor guys....) belum lagi kalau harus ke CSK tempatku untuk implementasi Axapta pertamakali sebagai konsultan dan yg kedua jika sebagi Axapta User yang jauhnya 20 km dari kantor, sakit tetap masuk (sembari pulang lagi karena overload beban), hari minggu masuk, pulang kantor sampe rumah jam 8 malam kemudian teruskan membuat laporan harian sampai jam 10 malam. selanjutnya menyiapkan bahan untuk ke konsumen sampai jam 12 malam yg diteruskan dari jam 4 sampai 5 pagi sebelum mandi dan ke kantor.

Setelah mnegalami penggojlokan "yg sangat" di DIP (perusahaan preman bernama ib#u s#ti#o#ud# akhirnya aku dibajak oleh korban DIP yaitu perusahaan CSK. disini aku banyak mencoba semua yg telah kupelajari terhadap mahluk Axapta dan tentu sekaligus menambah banyak perbendaharaan pengetahuan dari segi bisnis proses.....
Wah... sepertinya kepalaku sudah tidak mampu menggali pengalamanku untuk saat ini....
Ceritanya akan bersambung di blogin berikutnya.... lagian setelah dari CSK aku pindah ke Nobel dan tentu saja alasannya DOKU yg lebih banyak.......
